NBA ALL-STAR  IN HOUSTON, TEXAS

​The 2013 NBA All-Star Game was an exhibition basketball game that was played on February 17, 2013 at Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, the current home of the Houston Rockets. This game was the 62nd edition of the National Basketball Association (NBA) All-Star Game and was played during the 2012–13 NBA season. The Houston Rockets were awarded the All-Star Game in an announcement by Commissioner David Stern on February 8, 2012.

​This was the third time that Houston had hosted the All-Star Game; the city had previously hosted the event in 1989 at the Astrodome and 2006 at the Toyota Center. The West won the game 143–138, and Chris Paul of the Los Angeles Clippers was named the game's most valuable player (MVP).

Houston Museum of Natural Science

​The Houston Museum of Natural Science (abbreviated as HMNS) is a science museum located on the northern border ofHermann Park in Houston, Texas, USA. The museum was established in 1909 by the Houston Museum and Scientific Society, an organization whose goals were to provide a free institution for the people of Houston focusing on education and science. Museum attendance totals over two million visitors each year. The museum complex consists of a central facility with four floors of natural science halls and exhibits, the Burke Baker Planetarium, the Cockrell Butterfly Center, and the Wortham Giant Screen Theatre (formerly known as the Wortham IMAX Theatre). The museum is one of the most popular in the United States and ranks just below New York City's American Museum of Natural History and Metropolitan Museum of Art and the M. H. de Young Memorial Museum in San Francisco in most attendance amongst non-Smithsonian museums. Much of the museum's popularity is attributed to its large number of special or guest exhibits.

Space Center Houston

​Official Visitors Center of NASA'S Johnson Space Center. JSC is a federal facility, home to Mission Control, where missions are monitored and directed from seconds after launch to landing. This is where astronauts are trained and NASA Programs are managed.
