Manila, August 20 – The term Nusantara is a call to exploration; its a geographical and cultural space that invites a deep understanding of the unity within diversity. Artiste Musaeums latest exhibit, Nusantara: A Celebration of Indonesian Art and Culture, gives flesh and form to this intriguing concept. The Concept of Nusantara Explained: In Nusantara, visitors are guided through an exquisite tapestry of Indonesian art, artifacts, and experiences, all framed by the concept of unity in diversity. Derived from ancient Javanese, the word Nusantara symbolizes the rich cultural landscape that spans from the Malay Archipelago to Indonesia and the Philippines. This is more than an exhibition—it is a tribute to interconnectedness. An Invitation to Exploration: Discover the tangible manifestations of the "Nusantara" concept in art forms like traditional Wayang Kulit shadow puppets, tribal masks, and breathtaking sculptures. Nusantara invites guests to explore the concept through a curated journey that unearths the diverse stories and values inherent to Indonesia's multifaceted cultural fabric. Partnerships for Cultural Unity: The exhibition is a prestigious collaboration between ICOM Phils and UST Museum under its Director, Rev. Fr. Isidro Albano. Don't miss the chance to explore Nusantara and enrich your understanding of the cultural mosaic that is Indonesia.
