Description: In Batak myth, lizards are associated with Boraspati Ni Tano, the diety of fertility and agriculture, and Boraspati Ni Ruma, the guardian of homes. This rice container lid is sculpted with a typical figure of lizard with round eyes, elongated body and a tail which splites into a foliate curve.
