Artiste Musaeum is proud to launch our "Women Across Culture" initiative, which aims to promote women’s empowerment, gender equality, and an inclusive society through art.

Across cultures, art has been one of the most ubiquitous and influential tools used to share, celebrate, or commemorate women’s experiences, tribulations, beliefs, advocacies, and achievements. And this is because art is powerful. It can start a revolution or inspire peace; it can challenge and reshape societal norms; but, most importantly, it can create understanding and empathy. This is what we hope to achieve with this initiative.

"Women Across Culture" will feature 31 diverse and remarkable art pieces we collected across the world, which depict the crucial roles women played in enriching their homes and communities, invigorating cultures and traditions, and shaping lives and the future. We will share these art pieces on our social media pages for the whole month of March and compile them into an e-book, which will be available on our website soon after.

In addition to the art pieces, we will feature some of my most important friends who influenced my views towards women’s more empowered role in society. They are key advocates who pour their hearts and passion into raising awareness and support for causes relating to women’s empowerment. Through this initiative, we want to express our utmost respect and gratitude for their selfless commitment. May their reflections and ideals serve as a guide for us to become better allies for women and all genders.

Finally, and on a more personal level, I dedicate this initiative to the most important women and girls in my life: my grandmother, Mama Grande; my mother, Luz; my wife, Malou; my daughters, Angela and Alexi; and my grandchildren, Amber, Aurora, and Avery.
